Communications & Advertising Internship

Interns will work on more than one project at the SPYS Studio, often with deadlines that must be met. Consequently, all interns are expected to attend a weekly intern staff meeting in order to communicate and stay on schedule with their assigned tasks.

The position description is as follows:
Answering Phones
Assistant the Vice President as needed
SPYS STUDIO
preparing scheduling
Assisting in Casting Calls
Assisting in design layouts for Advertising Plans
Assisting in Drafting proposals
Assisting in building Advertising Plans for Clients
Assisting in Project Managing
Maintain Excellent Communication with Co-workers and Clients
Typing (40 wpm or higher), filing, advanced e-mail techniques, basic math skills and computer skills.
Responsible for the execution of the production duties as assigned.
Dropping off DVDs, CDs and Books to stores, or taking products to Post Office for shipping.
Attend a weekly intern staff meeting
Assisting on set during Photo shoots, commercial TV tapings, TV Show tapings, and Feature Film Tapings. This may include, but is not limited to running camera, script supervising, gaffing, prop management, food preparation/catering, costume fitting and set dressing.
Interns may also assist in other aspects of Television and Video Production.  

The appropriate candidate must be willing to learn and take directions well. Willing to learn multi-media software and strive to be excellent at each project and assignment. A good candidate will look and behave professionally and be on time and reliable. We are looking for someone with strong leadership skills and excellent organization skills.

Interns should have a good knowledge of some of the software listed below.  It is not necessary to be an expert at all of them.

+ Illustrator
+ Quark Xpress
+ Microsoft Office / IBM Environment
+ Photoshop
+ Excel
+ Word
Job Requirements:
* Can pass a drug test
* Can work 12 - 20 hours a week, occasional weekends when needed.
* Can lift 25 pounds
* Has reliable transportation and a valid drivers license
* Excellent organization skills
* Understands and meets time lines and due dates
* Be able to listen and perform to creative direction
* Must be a team player - working well with others

Time Commitment: 12-20 hours per week (must have a regular schedule), 200 hours per semester (or as specified by your school's curriculum) and therefore required to allocate most of their internship time during afternoons, evenings and some Saturdays.

Qualifications: Mass Communications, Radio & TV broadcasting, Film Production, Media Production, Journalism.

Deadlines:
